JOB OBJECTIVE

The Store Attendant is responsible for all receipt. storage, picking, delivery, stock discrepancy and stock integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Ensure all pick list from printer is attended in an orderly manner.
  • Attend picking for insurance claim with pick list and invoice from procurement.
  • Gather parts from inventory locations as specified by pick list and ensure right product is being picked.
  • Ensure goods delivered are in good conditions and tally with the pick list.
  • Report immediately to the storekeeper and direct report line in case of loss or shortage, damage, deterioration or surplus. And document anomalies.
  • After picking ensure product is safely disposed in respective delivery bin and pick list is sent to be posted on system.
  • Verification, tagging and shelving of parts to be in line with stock integrity of Axess.
  • Prepare special-ordered merchandise.
  • Handle merchandize in warehouse in a safe and secure manner and use appropriate equipment.
  • Ensure that bumped/damaged parts are segregated/properly tagged.
  • Ensure supplier delivery note and packing list is signed upon reception.
  • For the reception of container ensure seal number of container coincide with number on delivery note and sign accordingly.
  • Upon reception, do inspection to ensure that parts are in good condition/ right quantity/ correct part number
  • In cases of discrepancies in reception, alert Storekeeper and direct report line.
  • Unpack items, categorize and restock shelves appropriately.
  • Parts should be arranged in a safely manner, easily accessible, with parts number clearly visible and ensure to rotate stock as per first in- first out system (Space optimization).
  • In case of change in bin location, correct on pick list and inform storekeeper accordingly.
  • Sign on pick list, once picking is done and send to storekeeper.
  • Ensure that products returned are in good condition/original packaging and all returns are approved by parts manager.
  • Assist the Storekeeper in controlling and checking of all products in and out of the store.
  • Unload and load products manually or by operating stacker and scissor lift in a safely manner.
  • Rotate stock and move other bulky and/or heavy products in warehouse.
  • Ensure that a product has one location and one bin code.
  • Ensure proper racking and tagging in the warehouse.
  • Assist in inventory and execute reorders as per instructions..
  • Help team to look for the relevant missing products..
  • Keep the stock control systems up to date as soon as they are removed or placed in their relevant bin code..
  • Stocking fast moving items near the delivery bay and slow moving items deep inside..
  • Assist in cycle count.
  • Maintain and manage the warehouse premises neat and clean.
  • Ensure housekeeping of the store daily.
  • May be asked to perform as driver/helper.
  • Take out oil from drums using pump machine.
  • May be asked to load and unload containers using appropriate equipment.
  • May be required to rotate among jobs in warehouse/sub-stores. Replace colleague as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least SC
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Fluent in French, English, and Creole
  • Computer skills: Proficient with standard office applications required, proficiency with a Customer Relations/Support tool (e.g., ticket/case management) would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work odd hours.
  • Holding a clean certificate of character.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Ability to perform work requiring considerable standing and heavy physical effort.
  • Holder of a valid driving motorcycle/private car license.
